Wrightwood Castle
An extraordinary private assisted living estate in the San Gabriel Mountains, where personalized care is focused on a maximum of only six residents.
Approximately 10,000 square feet of gracious living spaces, individually appointed private suites, private bathrooms, estate amenities and personalized support create an assisted living experience unlike a conventional care setting.

More than a place to receive care. A place to live beautifully.
Wrightwood Castle combines the privacy and character of a grand residential estate with assisted living support focused on only six residents. The result is an environment where residents can enjoy personal space, distinguished surroundings and individualized attention without giving up the familiarity of home.
Care Focused on Six Residents
The Castle serves a maximum of six residents, creating the opportunity for caregivers to become closely familiar with each resident's routines, preferences, abilities, personality and changing needs.
Six Private Suites
Every resident enjoys a private suite with a private bathroom, allowing the personal privacy and individuality expected in a true residential home.
A True Private Estate
Formal dining, a library, Victorian gathering spaces, recreation rooms, an exercise room, private elevator, outdoor amenities and expansive common areas provide residents and visiting families with places to genuinely enjoy together.

A dining room designed for gathering.
The formal dining room preserves the character of the estate with rich wood detailing, chandelier lighting and a hand-painted ceiling, creating an elegant setting for daily meals and special occasions.
Residents receive three meals and snacks each day, with dietary needs, cultural preferences and appropriate texture requirements considered as part of individualized care.
A gracious setting for everyday meals and family occasions.
Professional kitchen space supports daily meal preparation and individualized dietary needs.
Meals can be adapted according to prescribed and assessed resident needs.

Quiet spaces matter just as much as gathering spaces.
The Castle Library offers a peaceful setting for reading, reflection, conversation or an afternoon spent quietly near the windows.
Throughout the estate, residents can choose how they want to spend their day — surrounded by others when they want company and with space to retreat when they prefer privacy.
Every resident has a suite of their own.
Each of the six suites has its own character and its own private bathroom. The bedroom and bathroom photographs below are intentionally paired so families can see the accommodations belonging to each individual suite.
The Bay Suite
A distinguished private suite with a king bed, bay window and adjoining sitting room, giving the resident additional private living space beyond the bedroom itself.
The Garden Suite
A generous private suite featuring garden views, a fireplace and sitting area, creating a personal retreat within the estate.
The Fireside Suite
A private suite with its own fireplace, comfortable sitting area and en-suite bathroom, offering an inviting residential atmosphere.
The Magnolia Suite
The Castle's dedicated ground-floor non-ambulatory accommodation. The Magnolia Suite offers a bright, welcoming private bedroom, sitting area and its own private bathroom with the convenience of first-floor living.
The Sage Suite
Located in a quieter wing of the estate, the Sage Suite features tall windows, distinctive furnishings and its own private bathroom.
The Crimson Suite
Rich crimson walls, traditional wood furnishings and a king bed give this private suite a distinctive character, complemented by its own private bathroom.
Care begins with knowing the person.
Each resident's care begins with an understanding of medical and functional needs as well as routines, preferences, interests, diet, social pace and family goals. Daily support can then be shaped around the individual rather than forcing the individual into a generic routine.
Personal Care Support
Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, ambulation, mobility and transferring according to the resident's assessed needs.
Medication Assistance
Medication reminders and assistance as appropriate, coordinated with the resident's physician and care requirements.
Daily Meals & Snacks
Three meals and snacks each day from the Castle's commercial kitchen, with attention to individual dietary needs and preferences.
Housekeeping & Laundry
Routine housekeeping, linen service and personal laundry help maintain a comfortable and well-kept private suite.
Tailored Activities
Activities and engagement can be shaped around each resident's interests, history, preferences and individual pace.
Transportation Coordination
Assistance coordinating transportation for medical appointments, personal needs, shopping and other important destinations.
Spaces that give residents and families reasons to stay awhile.
Wrightwood Castle extends well beyond the resident suites. The estate offers gathering rooms, recreation, exercise, dining, outdoor spaces and conveniences that allow everyday life to unfold throughout the property.
Private Elevator
Full-floor elevator access is incorporated into the estate for convenient movement between levels.
The Tavern Bar
An old-world gathering space with carved wood detailing and a distinctive estate atmosphere.
The Castle Library
Built-in shelving, traditional furnishings and intimate seating create a quiet room for reading and conversation.
Outdoor Spa
An outdoor spa area brings another layer of relaxation to the mountain estate setting.
Outdoor Patio & Grounds
Outdoor spaces beneath the mountain pines provide a setting for fresh air, visits and quiet mornings.
Commercial Kitchen
Professional kitchen space supports daily meal preparation and individualized dietary needs.
Exercise Room
Dedicated equipment creates space for appropriate movement, balance and supervised exercise.
Formal Dining Room
A chandelier-lit dining hall with architectural character provides an elegant backdrop for meals and celebrations.
Family Recreation Room
Pool, arcade games and recreation spaces give residents and visiting family members more ways to enjoy time together.
A home like this deserves to be experienced in person.
Photographs can show the rooms, but an in-person visit allows families to experience the scale of the estate, the privacy of the suites and the atmosphere of Wrightwood Castle for themselves.
